Method
1. Prep the fruit
• Wash, halve, and remove stones
• Slice into even wedges (about 5–8mm thick)
2. Optional (for colour preservation)
• Lightly toss in lemon juice to prevent browning
3. Arrange
• Place slices on dehydrator trays in a single layer (no overlap)
4. Dehydrate
• Dry at 55–60°C for 8–12 hours
• Fruit should be dry but still slightly chewy, not sticky
Storage
• Store in airtight containers or glass jars
• Keeps for 6–12 months in a cool, dark place
• For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze
Ways to Use
• Lunchboxes + on-the-go snacks
• Add to granola or yoghurt
• Rehydrate for fruit crumbles or compotes
• Chop into baking (muffins, loaves)
• Pair with cheese boards (especially blue or brie)
